2017-2018 Spring Semester “Biomedical Engineering Seminars” program is held at the Rector’s 100th Year Hall on April 17, 2018 at 13:30.The seminer is organized by Dr. Helena S. AZEVEDO from Queen Mary University of London as a lecturer in the Department of Biomedical Engineering & Biomaterials. The seminer is titled “Design and Characterization of Self-Assembling Biomaterials”.

Dr. AZEVEDO, visited our faculty as a Distinguished Visiting Profesor in the scope of Katip Çelebi-Newton Fund within the context of the Protocol on Scientific and Technological Cooperation signed between TUBITAK and  Research Councils UK (RCUK), is conducting research on the development of self-assembling peptide biomaterials for use in cell culture, drug delivery systems, regenerative medicine and biosensor applications. Dr. AZEVEDO, has many articles published in high impact factor magazines such as Science, Nature Chemistry and Advanced Functional Materials, served as editor of two books and has 2 patents.
