Professor Dr. Ali SARI graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Science, Department of Geological Engineering in 1983. He completed his master’s degree in 1985 and his doctoral degree in 1990 in the same department. In 1994, he became Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Science at Ankara University and in 2000 an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering in Ankara University. Ali SARI was appointed as a professor in Ankara University, Faculty of Engineering in July 2000. Currently, he is doing researches in the field of bituminous shales, biogeochemical properties of organic rocks and hydrocarbon yield in the Geological Engineering Department of Ankara University.

Professor Dr. Ali SARI has been working as the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of Ankara University since September 2013 and as the Head of the Department of Geological Engineering since June 2017.

Assoc. Prof. Emine Yağmur graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Science, Department of Chemical Engineering in 1994. She received her MS and Ph.D degree from same Department on in 1999 and 2003, respectively. She became an Assoc. Prof. in Ankara University in 2008. She is currently serving as Assoc. Prof. at Faculty of Engineering, Ankara University. Her main research areas are coal technology, applications of microwave energy, adsorption on solid particles and production of activated carbon.
